On June 12, 2022, a departure ceremony was held in Tianjin for 25 second-hand new energy vehicles purchased by Hunan Electromechanical (Motor Vehicle) Industry Foreign Trade Base, which will be exported from Lianyungang to Jordan. This batch of used cars for export is the first order for the annual key cooperation project between the base enterprise Hunan Jiade Overseas Business Development Co., Ltd. andZhongYuan Import and Export Group Co., Ltd. It is reported that the two companies plan to cooperate in exporting more than 2000 second-hand new energy vehicles this year.

    Recently, the General Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Promoting the Stability and Quality Improvement of Foreign Trade", proposing a number of policy measures to support the stability and quality improvement of foreign trade. Subsequently, Hunan Province issued the "Several Measures on Further Promoting the Sustainable Recovery of Consumption", explicitly proposing to support Zhuzhou City in expanding the export of second-hand cars. The positive signals released from this have strengthened the confidence of used car export enterprises in the base.

    Since the base officially launched the second-hand car export business in December 2020, although affected by the COVID-19, the car chip crisis, the Russia-Ukraine conflict and other events, the export scale has gradually increased, the export models have become increasingly rich, and the export unit price has also been rising. As of the end of May, there were 282 second-hand cars in the base, with export orders valued at more than 6.5 million US dollars. And the willingness of cooperative enterprises to conduct second-hand car export business continues to soar.

    At present, the base is continuously improving the level of second-hand car export facilitation and accelerating the cultivation of competitive advantages in second-hand car export. Relying on the second-hand car export business, the base drives the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industrial chains such as regional automobile trading, servicing, testing, finance, and logistics, forming a second-hand car export industrial cluster. Export orders also provide after-sales, maintenance, and accessories services for used cars exported overseas through various ways, such as self construction or cooperation, so as to continuously improve the after-sales service system for used cars, improve the quality of used car export services, and contribute to China's used car export industry. Next, the base will further improve the quality system for second-hand car exports, create export brands, improve quality and service standards, and enhance reputation and credibility.
